For Henry I got this for my seven year old. He's a proficient reader who sometimes gets nervous about chapter books. This book was good for him cause it was longer, yes, but something he was interested in enough to want to read it all himself.Where there's a will, there's a way... Son loves TMNT - and because of his level of interest, he has taken great strides in learning to read their books, which in turn has helped develop his overall reading ability. I bought this book while he was 6, and there were a few words he stumbled over, but now reads it easily, and so much so, I think he's outgrown it. It's a great book, though, and like the way it's written, to benchmark the reading level for certain ages/grades.Love ninja turtles My 4 year old loves ninja turtles and we love to read to him every night. So when we saw this book, we knew we had to get it and that it would be read a lot. The only issue we ran into was the book was ripped about a week into getting it. We still read it, but it is inconvenient trying to keep track of the loose pages
